I don't like the idea of going back to the 154 game schedule, and my reason why is the record books. It's been over 40 years since it was 154 games and so many season-based records have been affected by that.

I agree with almost all of this. Season is way too long. Starting early tho creates some of the same probs as late fall - scheduling to keep early games in the south or indoor places (if any left). Why are LCS series best of 7? Why not best of 5?
Rules against DHs? For crying out loud. Bunch of high paid weenies! With the game I've been watching only a few people really work that hard - the catcher has the toughest job of anybody - when I was a kid pitchers routinely threw 100 pitches and would do 3 day turns (guys like Drysdale and Koufax)

I like 154 games too but it messes up the records. Anymore owners and ballpark people will scream about revenue.

I keep waiting for Jerry Jones to figure out a way to extend the NFL so he can pay for his billion $ ballpark.

Very nice, Mike. I agree with all three points, especially removing all the ridiculous off days during the post-season. Four doubleheaders per season, with presumably two at home, would be awfully tempting for me to drive up to St. Louis.

You are beautiful! This will go by fast and will be SO worth it in the end. Maybe everyone will just think you're a teenager (that is not necessarily a bad thing). Hang in there and use it as a great excuse to eat lots of ice cream.

If they can do it in Oklahoma, which sees far more weather events than the Ozarks, then we can do it here. There's no reason to hit the damn panic button every time the sky turns gray.

Springfield does get overly excited on their broadcast. When I first moved to Tulsa I couldn't believe that they didn't do the same here considering the storms are stronger. But I am thankful they don't and wait for the commercials and don't use it as an opportunity to show their dramatic performance skills!
